Miami-Dade Giving Crime Suspects 2nd Chance

Sealing and Expungement program happening Thursday

The Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office is giving a second chance Thursday to people charged with a crime at their Sealing and Expungement Program.

The program will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church at 10701 Southwest 184th Street in Miami.

Anyone charged with a crime that didn't result in a conviction in Miami-Dade could be eligible to have a single record sealed or expunged.

The Florida Rights Restoration Coalition and ACLU will be on hand to assist with restoring civil rights, including the right to vote.
