A Miami-Dade prosecutor is facing DUI and child neglect charges after authorities say she was involved in a crash while allegedly driving drunk with her two kids in the car.
Lisa Joi Jacobs, 51, was arrested in Broward County Friday on charges including DUI, leaving the scene of a crash, two counts of DUI property damage and two counts of child neglect, according to a Florida Highway Patrol arrest report.
Jacobs wasn't listed in jail records and no attorney was listed in Broward court records. No one answered the door at Jacobs' home in Aventura Monday.
The Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office declined to comment on the arrest.
According to the FHP report, Jacobs was driving her mother's Toyota Camry with her 14-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son inside Friday night when she was involved in the crash near the I-95 exit ramp to Hallandale Beach Boulevard.
The other driver said Jacobs got out and was taking photos of her car when she began to act very irate and started using abusive language toward her, the report said.
Jacobs got back in her car and started to leave the scene but was caught in traffic, the report said. A trooper arrived and was able to get Jacobs to stay at the scene, the report said.

When Jacobs tried to backup her car she nearly collided with another vehicle, the report said.
The trooper also noticed Jacobs had a slight sway and appeared unable to maintain her balance, and the trooper smelled an odor of alcohol on her breath, the report said.
Jacobs "appeared to have a flushed face and appeared to have bloodshot red glossy watery eyes" and her speech "appeared to be slow and slurry," the trooper wrote in the report.
She replied that she had "slurry speech earlier but she did not have it anymore," and she told the trooper she drank three glasses of wine two hours before at Outback before picking up her kids in Cooper City, the report said.
Jacobs was wearing a sling on her arm and said she had been in a crash in November and had surgery on her shoulder two weeks ago, the report said. She also said she was taking eight medications for the pain.
After she was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI, she pulled away multiple times and began to scream and complain about shoulder pain, the report said. She also acted irate and used abusive language multiple times, the report said.
"On multiple occasions she advised me she would make sure that I lost my job over this incident," the trooper wrote in the report.
Jacobs later refused a breath test and refused to provide a urine sample, the report said. Her children were released into the custody of their father, the report said.
Jacobs' LinkedIn profile lists her as the felony division chief and says she's been with the State Attorney's Office since August 1998.
