Miami Dolphins Defensive Tackle Leon Orr Arrested for Marijuana Possession in Collier County

Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Leon Orr was arrested for marijuana possession in Collier County, officials said.

Orr, 24, was pulled over Tuesday for what appeared to be illegally tinted windows, NBC 2 reported.

Jail records showed Orr was released from jail after posting $7,000 bond. Attorney information wasn't immediately available.

When an officer approached his car, he smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, authorities said. The report said Orr had stuffed the marijuana down his pants.

Authorities charged Orr with possession of marijuana under 20 grams. Orr was also charged with possession of a controlled substance after authorities found kush syrup and THC in the car.

At a press conference Wednesday, Dolphins head coach Adam Gase said they found out Orr had been arrested during Wednesday's practice and immediately cut him from the team.

Orr, from Largo, Florida, played college football for the Florida Gators before signing with the Oakland Raiders in 2015. He was signed by the Dolphins after his release from the Raiders and had one tackle in five games this season.
