The Miami Dolphins introduced newly signed defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh on Wednesday in Davie.

Suh agreed to a six-year deal worth $114 million and $60 million of that will be guaranteed. The contract is the biggest for a defensive player in NFL history. The signing comes after the Dolphins had cleared salary cap room in recent weeks.

The press conference took place at the Doctors Hospital Training Facility at Nova Southeastern University. Seated next to Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, general manager Dennis Hickey and team VP Mike Tannenbaum, the newest Dolphin fielded several questions from the media that was gathered.

The 28-year old has big goals in mind for his time in Miami. Living up to a contract of that size can be daunting and a lot of responsibility comes with it. Suh made it clear that he is up for that challenge.

"I want to be a cornerstone to this franchise," Suh said.

Suh made it known that he is looking forward to getting onto the field and playing with his new teammates. When asked specifically for his thoughts on Ryan Tannehill, Suh praised his new quarterback.

"He has great feet... I had a tough time bringing him down," Suh responded.

Ross has invested his money into on-field talent as well as into renovations of the stadium. Some of the money spent on the roster has not led to more wins in recent years. While spending money can help, it also can have little to no effect on the productivity of the team which Ross reiterated.

"I can only spend so much, I want to win... It's important to spend your money wisely," Ross responded when he was asked about putting more money into the team.

Miami's owner mentioned that he received congratulatory calls from multiple people in regards to the signing of Suh including Warren Buffet. Ross also made it known that he was heavily involved in the decision to bring Suh on-board.

"It makes me very proud to have him join the Miami Dolphins," Ross stated.

The Dolphins still should be busy in the free-agent market. One name in particular that Miami will keep close tabs on is Charles Clay. The Dolphins put a transition tag on Clay but he is highly sought after and Miami could be unable to match an offer sheet.
