Miami Dolphins Making Return Trip to London in 2017, Facing New Orleans Saints

In what has become a second home of late for the team, the Miami Dolphins will again be heading across the Atlantic Ocean for a game next season.

The NFL announced Tuesday morning the four games that will be played in London during the 2017 season, with the Dolphins giving up a home game in South Florida to play the New Orleans Saints at Wembley Stadium. The game will be played either during Week 3 (September 24th) or Week 4 (October 1st) next year.

It will be the fourth time the Dolphins have played a regular season game in London. Miami played in the first ever regular season game for the NFL in Europe, losing to the New York Giants. The Dolphins beat the Oakland Raiders in 2014 before losing to the New York Jets in 2015.

It will be the second time in three seasons the Dolphins have given up a home game in Miami, part of a deal that helped owner Stephen Ross land a bid to hose Super Bowl 54 following the 2019 season.

The other three games include the Baltimore Ravens facing the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Minnesota Vikings playing the Cleveland Browns and the Arizona Cardinals taking on the Los Angeles Rams.

The news was something positive for the team, who will reportedly shut down starting center Mike Pouncey for the rest of the year. The Miami Herald is reporting the team made the decision Tuesday about their Pro Bowl offensive lineman - who has missed most of the season with a hip injury, but told coaches he wanted to try and come back.
