The mentally disabled brother of a Miami firefighter who went missing earlier this month has been found safe.
Oriol Deglace, the brother of Miami Fire Rescue Lt. Jackson Deglace, was found at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Jackson Deglace said Monday.
Deglace, 51, had been last seen on April 4 near North Miami. On Sunday, Jackson Deglace gathered a group of volunteers to pass out flyers, and someone they handed a flyer to had seen him on a bus headed to Hialeah.
At one point, Oriol Deglace was picked up by police and brought to the hospital's mental health center for a psychiatric evaluation, Deglace said.
Oriol Deglace, who requires daily medication, appeared to be in good condition, his brother said.
