Fans stopped by the arena Friday to receive free "white hot" decals for their cars. The decals, which were professionally applied to the cars by Metro Signs Inc., were available until 7 p.m.
Other Heat enthusiasts are competing in the 48 Hours of Intense Heat event, which challenges fans to sit in front of the arena for 48 hours straight in whatever elements Mother Nature brings.
The event began Thursday and will come to a close Saturday at 11 a.m. The grand prize is a pair of lower-level tickets to all home games of the 2012 playoffs.
The Miami Heat play the New York Knicks Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in their first 2012 playoff game.
