Gerald Green of the Miami Heat was hospitalized Wednesday for unknown reasons, and will not accompany the team for its trip to Minnesota for a game there Thursday.
Green was not with the Heat on Tuesday night when they lost to the Atlanta Hawks. The team said that he was sitting out with an illness.
The team released a statement saying Green was admitted Wednesday morning to an undisclosed hospital. The team says, "right now our concerns are with Gerald" and declined further comment.
Green has averaged 10.3 points in three games with the Heat. He signed with the club as a free agent in July.
