Miami Is Still 2nd Largest City in Florida

Miami is still Florida's second most populous city, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Jacksonville remains in the top spot, with 842,583 people, compared to 417,650 in Miami. Tampa came in third with 352,957.

Orlando has surpassed St. Petersburg for the fourth spot, with over 255,000 residents, compared to St. Petersburg's 249,000.

Orlando has a higher birthrate than St. Petersburg and has more room for expansion because it is not surrounded by water. St. Petersburg's residents are also older on average, meaning the city has a higher death rate.
