Miami Lakes officials are enforcing an 8 p.m. curfew Friday for minors after a melee ensued following a gathering in the area on Christmas Day.
Thousands of people had congregated in the city and a stampede occurred when either firecrackers or gunshot rang out, The Miami Herald reported.
Police couldn't confirm that any officers had been assaulted or if anyone was arrested.
An officer told the Herald that around 3,000 to 5,000 people had been gathered, but there conflicting reports as to what actually occurred.
