A Miami man was arrested after police say he raped a woman who is paralyzed from the waist down.
Luis Ulquiaga, 65, was arrested Tuesday on charges of sexual battery on a victim who is physically helpless and tampering with a victim, according to a Miami-Dade Police arrest report.
Ulquiaga remained behind bars on $35,000 bond Thursday, jail records showed. It was unknown if he's hired an attorney.
According to the report, Ulquiaga entered the 33-year-old woman's bedroom, removed her adult diaper and raped her. After he left her room she was able to call 911, the report said.
During the call, the victim said Ulquiaga walked back into her room and took the telephone from her, the report said.
After his arrest, Ulquiaga denied the allegations, the report said.
