Miami Man Beat Young Girl to Death: Police
Cops say man admitted to playing rough with 4-year-old who died

A Miami man has been arrested in the beating death of his girlfriend's 4-year-old daughter, police said.
Calvin Morris Lewis, 21, was taken into custody Wednesday night and charged with felony murder and aggravated child abuse in the Monday night incident.
According to a police report, officers responded to a home in the 6200 block of Northwest 3rd Ave. to a 911 call of an unresponsive child.
The young girl was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital's pediatric unit, where she died.
A post-mortem examination by the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner's Office found the girl had received extensive trauma to her liver and other organs, and the death was ruled a homicide.
Police said the girl was in the sole company of Lewis, her mother's boyfriend. They say Morris admitted to detectives that he had played with the girl in a rough manner before she became unresponsive.
Lewis was being held without bond Thursday.
