Miami's Martin Luther King parade will mean street closures Monday beginning at 9 a.m.
The parade begins at 11 a.m. and travels along Northwest 54th Street from 12th Avenue to 19th Avenue before it ends around 2 p.m. on Northwest 32nd Avenue.
Starting on Northwest 7th Avenue to 19th Avenue the route will go west on 54th Street. Adjacent streets south and north of 54th Street will be open.
Residents who live in the staging area from 7th to 12th Avenue on Northwest 54th Street will be allowed access.
Miami-Dade Transit buses that normally operate on Northwest 54th Street will be re-routed. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes and streets will reopen to traffic around 5 p.m.
