A Miami mother found herself behind bars after her toddler tested positive for methadone after being rushed to the hospital.

Sheila Caballero was arrested Monday night and booked on one charge of child neglect with great bodily harm. The 25-year-old was held on $7,500 bond.

According to an arrest report, the 18-month-old child was taken to Holtz Children’s Hospital on Sunday where he tested positive for the drug. Officers spoke with the toddler’s father, who said the toddler had been with Caballero before being taken to the hospital and he had no idea about the child’s positive test.

Officers later contacted Caballero, who refused to answer any questions, and later arrested her after completing their investigation.
