Miami Police Arrest Stabbing Suspect

Police said they found a man suspected in a fatal gas station stabbing.

Miami Police have arrested a man suspected of fatally stabbing another man earlier this week.

Lizandro Bohorquez, 39, has been charged with second degree murder after police say he stabbed and killed 41-year-old Reinaldo Martinez last Tuesday in the back of a Chevron parking lot on Northwest 7th Street.

Police said they found Bohorquez Friday night after receiving a tip saying he was receiving medical attention at Jackson Memorial Hospital's emergency room. It is unclear what he was seeking treatment for.

Officials said Bohorquez stabbed Martinez after an argument ensued at the picnic tables behind the gas station. Bohorquez was wearing a heavy jacket, despite the warm weather, was armed with a knife and traveled with a small dog by his side, authorities said.

After being stabbed, Martinez ran to the Bella Vista Apartment complex where his mother lives and collapsed as soon as she opened her door. Police said Martinez died at the hospital.

Online jail records show Bohorquez is being held without bond. It is unknown if he has an attorney.
