The officer, Johnathan John, was involved in a funeral procession when he was hit by a Ford F-150.
The officer was stable and alert while being transported to Ryder Trauma Center with possible leg injuries. He was expected to be okay.
The truck involved remained at the scene and it's unknown if any charges will be given to that driver at this time.
