A Miami woman claimed the $1 million Mega Mney jackpot prize of the Florida Lottery, officials announced Friday.

With a quick pick ticket, Ida Coello, 52, won Tuesday’s drawing and chose the one-time lump sum payment of $836,561.08.

Although she usually spends a few dollars on a variety of games, Coello said she spent $5 on the Mega Money game the day she bought the winning ticket.

“Late Tuesday evening after I got off work, I checked my tickets and found I was a winner,” she said. “I was so excited!”

The woman purchased the ticket at the Winn-Dixie at 3701 NW 7th St., which received a $1,000 commission for the win.

The next drawing is planned for Friday night at 11:15 p.m. with a $500,000 jackpot.
