Miramar's police and fire departments are being immortalized in new Hot Wheels toys modeled after their emergency vehicles.
Cars bearing the crest and striping of the Miramar PD and FD will be featured in the Cop Rods and Fire Rods editions of the tiny metal toys.
Miramar was one of just 26 cities chosen for the collector's series, which honors hard-working heroes and municipalities. Miramar was the only Florida city chosen for the series.
The Cop Rods cars are already on shelves, exclusively at Target. The Fire Rods will be sold at Toys 'R' Us beginning in September.
