A Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office K-9 that escaped from his residence was found safe nearly four hours after he went missing.

Marley, who is 2 years old, left his Jupiter home around 6:30 p.m. Friday. He was found on the side of the road by a resident, who then brought the dog back home and contacted the sheriff's office.

"PBSO K-9 Unit appreciates the kind resident making sure K-9 Marley remained safe and unharmed," the agency said.

Several units had been looking for the dog in Jupiter Farms, according to PBSO.
