A man accused of stealing a car with a sleeping baby inside in Palm Beach County before dropping the baby off at a gas station was arrested after his mom turned him in, authorities said.
Marquise Hudson is now facing grand theft auto and kidnapping charges, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
"Hey Marquise Hudson, thanks to your mom we have you in custody for Grand Theft Auto & Kidnapping after you carjacked a KIA with a baby inside. #BUSTED," the sheriff's office tweeted on Wednesday.
Authorities say the car was stolen early Tuesday. A short time later, Hudson knocked on the door of the Sunoco station in Royal Palm Beach and told a clerk "Take the baby! Take the baby!" authorities said.

He fled the gas station after leaving the child, who wasn't injured.
