More Than 80 Florida Museums Offering Free Admission Saturday

Several South Florida museums will be offering free admission this Saturday as part of “Museum Day Live,” a promotion from Smithsonian magazine.

The promotion is meant to celebrate “boundless curiosity” and provides free admission for two people on Sept. 23. Select museums in Boca Raton, Coral Gables, Davie, Miami and other South Florida cities are participating.

Interested museum-goers can search for participating museums by visiting the Smithsonian website and searching for their city or zip code. In order to gain free entry, you have to download a ticket from the website and submit your name, e-mail address and state/county.

One ticket is valid for one museum only. More than 80 museums across Florida are taking part in the event.
