Sunny and hot.. staying mainly dry
Morning temperatures are starting out in the upper 70s to low 80s, with scattered showers in the Keys.
Those showers will move out by sunrise, and we will enjoy a wonderful day. It will be hot, with temperatures warming to the lower 90s. Winds will be light out of the east at five mph.
Most of the showers that develop in the afternoon should be more interior and on the west coast. The east coast metro areas will stay mainly dry.
The weekend will have highs in the low 90s and only a 10 percent chance of rain. As we move into a holiday week, the weather won’t change much. We will bring back a 30 percent chance of afternoon showers and storms on Independence Day, with highs in the low 90s.
In the tropics, what’s left of Debby could re-develop in the next few days, however, the storm is moving away from land. There’s also a small disturbance well out in the Atlantic that we are keeping our eye on. It’s located 1100 miles east of the Windward Islands. Both of these disturbances have only a 10 percent chance of development during the next 24-48 hours.
