NBC 6 Obtains Interrogation Video in North Miami Beach Kidnapping, Rape

Police have redacted what they say is a confession from the interrogation video pending a trial.

NBC 6 has exclusively obtained interrogation tapes in a North Miami Beach kidnapping and rape.

While the confession has been redacted from the video, North Miami Beach Police have said then 16-year-old Antonio Hodgson admitted to the January crime.

Police said the victim was picking up food from a restaurant at 1026 North Miami Beach Blvd. close to midnight when she was approached by two men wearing black gloves and wielding handguns. The men allegedly forced her into the back of her white car and drove to the Oak Grove Area in North Miami-Dade where she was sexually assaulted by Hodgson, 17-year-old Terry Petitfrere and 18-year-old Steve Pryce. They then drove her around various locations in North Miami-Dade and North Miami Beach including fast food restaurants and gas stations before dropping the victim off by her home, police said.

Officials released surveillance video which shows the men coming out of shrubs on the night of the incident, with one suspect pointing a gun at the woman, who is off-screen. Officers said they were able to quickly catch the three suspects due to the surveillance video.

Police can't release the exact moment of the video where Hodgson confesses to the crime as they wait for the case to go to trial, but according to police documents, he was the first of the three to admit to the crime. Petitfrere allegedly confessed to the crime as well, but Pryce has not issued a confession, according to police.

The three suspects have pleaded "not guilty."
