For the second year in a row, NBC 6 is teaming up with the YMCA of South Florida for Swim Week.
Throughout the week, we’ll be airing stories stressing the importance of drowning prevention, swim lessons and water safety awareness. Viewers are encouraged to register for free swim lessons at their local YMCA, which are being offered during Swim for Jenny Week May 1st–5th.
In an effort to prevent further drowning deaths, viewers are also being to become a designated “Water Watcher," and pick up their Water Watcher tag at their local YMCA.
