A naked man was arrested in St. Augustine Saturday after he climbed on a roof, dented a truck and tackled two men, biting one man’s stomach, police said.
A naked man was arrested in St. Augustine Saturday after he climbed on a roof, dented a truck and tackled two men, biting one man’s stomach, police said.
According to the Florida-Times Union, 22-year-old Jeremiah Aaron Haughee was charged with five counts of battery, three of which were against a police officer, and was also charged with burglary and criminal mischief.
On Saturday, two men woke up to the sounds of Haughee allegedly destroying their lawn furniture, the newspaper said. Haughee then jumped on the roof and leapt on a truck, denting its hood, the report said. He then tackled the two men who had come out to see what was happening, police said.
Officials said Haughee urinated on the floor and then lunged at the men, biting one in the stomach.
When police arrived, Haughee also lashed out at the officers, kicking, hitting and biting three of them, the report said.
Five officers were eventually able to subdue him and take him into custody, the Times-Union said.
It is not known what caused the attack.
Haughee was released on $32,000 bond Sunday. It was not immediately known if he had an attorney.
