Naples Man Gets 25 Years for Drug-Related Killing

A southwest Florida man has been sentenced 25 years in prison for a drug-related fatal shooting.

As part of a deal with Collier County prosecutors, 24-year-old Michael Trissler pleaded no contest Friday to manslaughter with a firearm. Prosecutors had said they would bump the charge up to second-degree murder if the case went to trial.

Investigators say Trissler killed 28-year-old Alberto Esquijarosa in December 2013 after buying $60 worth of OxyContin from his Gold Gate Estates neighbor. The Naples Daily News reports that Trissler then took Esquijarosa's car and was later found resting in the vehicle with a syringe cap on his chest.
