Attorney General Pam Bondi is asking Floridians to participate in National Drug Take-Back Day.
The event takes place at various locations throughout the state on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Bondi said on Friday that getting rid of old or unneeded medications in the home helps prevent prescription drug abuse. Participating locations can be found by visiting http://1.usa.gov.
The effort has been organized by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and state and local law enforcement.
