New Beef Recall for Meat Supplier in Publix E. Coli Recall

A meat supplier that had several beef products recalled by Publix last month due to possible E. coli contamination after 18 people got sick is recalling more than 132,000 pounds of ground beef, the USDA announced.

Cargill Meat Solutions is recalling items that were produced and packaged on June 21. The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 86R” inside the USDA mark of inspection, and were shipped to retail locations nationwide.

Customers who have purchased these products should not consume them and should throw them away or returned to the store.

In August, Publix recalled several beef products that had been shipped to several locations in Florida counties, but South Florida was not part of that recall.
