New Video Shows 2014 Shooting at Homestead Bar

New video shows the frantic moments a suspect shot up a Homestead bar more than two years ago, as the man charged in the shooting prepares to head to trial in the attempted murder case.

Leon Hillman, 38, is facing three attempted murder charges in the June 2014 shooting at Grumpy's Bar on Southwest 152nd Avenue.

The video, released by the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, shows the gunman run up to the bar with a rifle. The gun appears to jam as he shoots three people, scattering the bar's patrons. Three people were injured in the shooting.

But Hillman's attorney, Alex Michael, says police got the wrong man, and says the fact that Hillman was granted bond shows how weak the case against him is.

"No. the video does not put my client there. We disagree on that. I saw the video, I don't think it's my client. Looks like him, similar, but I don't think you see his face very clear," Michael said.

The trial is scheduled to begin next month.
