No Medal for Sanya Richards-Ross in 200M

400 meter gold medalist Richards-Ross failed to medal Wednesday in the 200 meter

Fort Lauderdale's Sanya Richards-Ross failed to medal in the 200 meter final Wednesday.

Teammate Allyson Felix took the gold with Richards-Ross finishing fifth.

"She's had a very good season and definitely deserves this moment. She's just like me β€” she's wanted this for a very long time," Richards-Ross told the Associated Press.

Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce won silver and American Carmelita Jeter took the bronze in the 200 meter.

Richards-Ross clocked in at 22.39 seconds. 

Following the race, she tweeted, "Not the result I'd hoped 4 but what a thrill to be a part of such a great field! By far these Olympics have been the greatest exp of my life"

She took gold Sunday in the 400 meter race.

University of Miami graduate T'Erea Brown also competed Wednesday in the women's 400 meter hurdle but did not medal.
