A 28-year-old central Florida woman died in her jail cell after being arrested during a prostitution sting.
Volusia County Sheriff's officials say they're waiting for toxicology results to determine what caused April Brogan's death on May 1.
But family members tell The Daytona Beach News-Journal they believe Brogan didn't get the care she needed as a known drug addict. A Volusia County official says they are reviewing the incident but believe that proper protocols were followed.
Brogan was arrested April 29 and charged with aiding/abetting/committing prostitution.
Reports indicate a cellmate told investigators Brogan complained of being ``dope sick.'' Two days later, she started vomiting and foaming at the mouth.
Mary Killgore of Rockledge says her niece should have been taken to a detox center because of her drug problem.
