North Lauderdale BSO Chief Suspended With Pay for “Conduct Unbecoming an Employee”

North Lauderdale's district police chief has been suspended with pay for "conduct unbecoming an employee."

According to Broward Sheriff's Office documents, Captain William Jackson, who ran the North Lauderdale department, was put on suspension Wednesday and ordered to surrender his badge, law enforcement identification and vehicle.

Veda Coleman-Wright, spokeswoman for BSO, would only say the suspension was related to a traffic incident in Coconut Creek.

The interim police chief of Coconut Creek, Greg Lees, released this statement Monday afternoon, “The case involving Coconut Creek Police and BSO Captain William Jackson has been delivered to the State Attorney’s Office who will determine any appropriate action. Consequently, we are not at liberty to speak on an on-going investigation.” Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";}
