Miami Officer Injured During Struggle With Burglary Suspect

Bloody evidence shows where an officer was injured after a struggle with a burglary suspect.

A Miami Police officer suffered minor injuries after a struggle with a burglary suspect Sunday morning.

The unidentified officer was trying to arrest the suspect outside 6927 NW 3rd Avenue in Little Haiti.

He was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital with abrasions, police said.

The suspect, identified as Shepard Campbell, was arrested at the scene. Police say he was released from prison early, though charged with 5 counts of burglary and 7 counts of grand theft.
