A Cessna crashed on Saturday afternoon in John Prince Park in Lake Worth, killing its pilot, officials said.
The Palm Beach Sheriff's Office said the person died when the plane crashed and burst into flames on the shore of Lake Osborne, according to WPTV-Ch. 5.
The Cessna 421 crashed around 1:35 p.m., said Teri Barbera, spokeswoman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. No one in the park was injured.
The plane is believed to have lost power minutes before the crash, according to a PBSO deputy at the scene, the station reported.
Dozens of sheriff’s cars and fire-rescue vehicles were at the crash site.
