A Miami couple was hospitalized with stab wounds after a possible domestic incident that led to a kitchen fire Monday morning, officials said.

The incident happened at the couple's home in the 800 block of Northwest 4th Avenue in Overtown, Miami Police said.

Miami Fire Rescue officials said the couple was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center where their condition was unknown.

A small fire that broke out in the kitchen also had to be contained, officials said. Authorities didn't say how the fire may have started.

Police called it a possible domestic incident, but said they didn't know who stabbed who first. No other information was immediately known.
