Pair Steals $10,000 in Jewelry from Miami Flea Market: Miami-Dade Police

Police are looking for two women who they said made off with a pair of pricey gold chains from a Miami flea market last month.

Surveillance video shows the two women approaching the jewelry counter at USA Flea Market at 3015 Northwest 79th Street. They asked to look at gold necklaces on display.

Once the display was placed on the counter, police said one of the women struck up a conversation to distract the employee while the other snatched the chains.

Together, the two gold chains are valued at approximately $10,000.

As a small business owner, James Park works hard for his living. So, you can imagine how furious he was to lose thousands of dollars worth of property in a matter of seconds.

"We take our time and we invest their money and our jewelry so we can make sales to make a living. They get free jewelry and free money just by snatching it," Park said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
