Panthers' Jagr Passes Hull for Third Most Goals in NHL History

Jaromir Jagr made more history on Saturday when he passed Brett Hull on the All-Time goal list

Florida Panthers star Jaromir Jagr's résumé had another big moment added to it on Saturday when the veteran put home his 742nd career goal.

The goal which was Jagr's second of the game moved him ahead of Brett Hull on the NHL's All-Time list for goals. Only Wayne Gretzky (894) and Gordie Howe (801) sit ahead of Jagr now on the historic list. Jagr is unlikely to catch either man due in part to his time spent in the Kontinental Hockey League.

Since joining Florida, Jagr has found the fountain of youth and has been a leader on the bench as well as on the ice. At 44-years old, Jagr out-skates players that are half his age and dominates the ice at times. It is difficult to believe on most nights that Jagr is 44, and he has shown no signs of slowing down.

With his two goals on Saturday, Jagr now has 20 on the season which is the most on the team. That total is also good enough for a Top 20 spot in the entire Eastern Conference. Jagr has been a key reason for Florida's success this year, after helping to keep the team in contention last year.

While it is unlikely that Jagr will catch Howe in goals before his career comes to an end, there is another category up for grabs. Howe is only five points ahead of Jagr on the All-Time points list, and Jagr should be able to grab that spot in the coming weeks. Jagr currently has 1,845 points in his career.

The next chance for Jagr to add to his career totals will come on Thursday when his Panthers host the Arizona Coyotes.
