A drier, quieter pattern is settling in Thursday in South Florida as Tropical Storm Isaac moves slowly up the Mississippi Valley.
Locally, under a new ridge of high pressure, a pleasant pattern with more sunshine is expected into the holiday weekend.
While Thursday holds an isolated shower chance in the morning, partly cloudy skies will rule the afternoon with highs around 90.
Tonight’s forecast is dry with lows in the upper 70s, followed by a mostly sunny Friday with highs around 90.
The upcoming weekend forecast is mainly dry with bright sunshine and highs in near 89.
