Partly sunny, breezy, and mainly dry weather is expected Tuesday. Meteorologist Shiri Spear has the local forecast.
Early temperatures in the mid 70s will reach highs in the mid 80s Tuesday afternoon in South Florida.
It will be partly sunny, breezy and generally dry. A couple fast moving showers may move onshore, but most areas avoid any measurable rain Tuesday.
The high risk of rip currents continues at local Atlantic beaches. Winds between 15-20 mph are expected with occasional gusts over 25 mph.
As Tropical Storm Sandy shifts northward towards eastern Cuba and the central Bahamas, be prepared for stronger winds mid to late week. A few showers will be around Wednesday through Friday as moisture linked to Sandy chips away at Tuesday’s dry air mass.
Though the center of Sandy will stay to our east, South Floridians are encouraged to monitor the storm’s progress.
