Pedestrian Hurt in North Miami Beach Crash

A female pedestrian is in the hospital recovering after she was hit by a car early Monday morning.

According to NBC 6 crews at the scene, the woman was walking in the area of Northeast 15th Avenue and Northeast 163rd Street around 5:30 a.m. when she was struck.

The two males in the car searched for a place to park then returned to the scene.

The woman was taken to Aventura Hospital Trauma Unit where she is said to be recovering from non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation into the crash is underway. No charges have been filed so far.

The flow of traffic is not expected to be impacted by the scene.

No further information was immediately available.
