    Pembroke Pines Police arrested a lieutenant with the City of Miami fire department for allegedly soliciting a minor online and providing obscene material to a minor. NBC 6's Gilma Avalos reports. (Published Wednesday, Aug 27, 2014)

    Pembroke Pines Police arrested a lieutenant with the City of Miami fire department for allegedly soliciting a minor online and providing obscene material to a minor.

    According to police, Ramon Marti, 48, answered a classified ad that was set up by an undercover detective who listed her age as 15. Police said Marti engaged in sexually explicit verbal conversations with the girl, despite knowing her age.

    Police said Marti also sent obscene materials of himself to the undercover detective during one of the conversations. Marti was arrested Wednesday and after being read his rights,confessed to the charges, according to investigators.

    Marti has been relieved of duty during the investigation, according to Fire Rescue spokesman Captain Iggy Carroll.

    Pembroke Pines Police said the investigation into the crime is active as there may be other victims.
