Person Found Killed in Miami-Dade Home: Police

Miami-Dade Police are investigating after a person was found killed in a home Thursday.

The discovery was made at a home in the 10900 block of Northwest 1st Lane after police received a 911 call of a robbery around 10 a.m., officials said.

When officers arrived, they found the person dead inside the home, officials said. The identity of the victim wasn't released.

Neighbor Bryan Rodriguez said he was playing a video game when he heard gunshots.

Lazaro Valladares lives next door to the crime scene and said the owner kept to herself, "Late at night, you know, 10:00 or 11:00 at night, she would walk around and she'll come always home by herself."

Police are investigating the death as a homicide, but they are still looking into whether a robbery took place.

No other information was immediately known.
