A pedestrian was struck and killed in a deadly accident early Thursday morning, officials said.

The incident happened along Northwest 31st Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard around 6 a.m., according to Captain Rick Rocco of the Lauderhill Police Department.

The driver remained on the scene and was being questioned by police.

The victim has not been identified.
