A man was hospitalized after he was shot possbily in a dorm room at the Florida Memorial University campus in Miami Gardens Tuesday.
The shooting happened shortly after 11 a.m. just outside the front gate, located at 15800 Northwest 42nd Avenue.
When Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived to the campus, the injured man was waiting for them at front gate. The man's friends had driven him there.
Firefighters said the injured man appeared to be a student. The bullet had gone in one side of his leg and out the other. The injury is non life-threatening.
The school was placed under lockdown during the incident, and the lockdown was later lifted.
