A woman was rushed to the hospital after police say she was the victim of a hit-and-run crash in northeast Miami early Thursday morning.
Officers arrived at the scene near Northeast 2nd Avenue and 54th Street around 3 a.m. after the person, who was identified by Miami Police as a black woman in her 60s, was struck while in her wheelchair and crossing the street.
One person nearby attempted to help before first responders rushed the unidentified victim to the hospital with possible injuries to her face and legs. Her condition has not been released.
