A small plane crashed in a residential area of Southwest Florida, leaving the pilot dead.
According to NBC affiliate WBBH, the crash happened Saturday afternoon in Naples at around 3:30 p.m.
Officials said the plane did not hit any homes.
Fire rescue officials said the plane was traveling from Key West to Naples.
The pilot’s name has not been released and no additional information has been released.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
