One man pistol-whipped another during a fight outside a Hialeah convenience store Monday night – and as he did so his gun fired, shattering the store’s window, police said.

The two men who got into a fight at W. 29th St. and W. 12th Ave. knew each other, a Hialeah Police spokesman said.

The victim was taken by air to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he is in stable condition.

The suspect fled the scene. Police described him as a white Hispanic male in his 40s driving a black SUV, possibly an Expedition.
