Police Academy Graudate Arrested: Report

A recent Miami Police Academy graduate may need to go back for remedial classes after he was arrested on charges of identity theft and wire fraud, according to the Miami Herald.

Yurien Martinez Gallardo, 34, finished his six-month training program at the academy, but had not hit the streets and had not been sworn in.

Gallardo was arrested by the U.S. Secret Service.

The Herald reported the indictment alleged the group stole personal information of customers to buy cell phones and then re-sell the phones for a profit.
