Police Bust Marijuana Grow House in Miami

Miami Police confirm they busted a marijuana grow house operation overnight at a home in northwest Miami.

The suspect, 67-year-old Rolando Fernandez, was arrested at that home located at 302 Northwest 53rd Avenue in the Flagami neighborhood of Miami.

Fernandez appeared in bond court Thursday, where he was ordered held on $75,000. It was unknown if he has an attorney.

Florida Power & Light were on the scene shutting down the power to the house.

Police say there were about 70 marijuana plants on the property, some as high as seven feet tall, with street worth in the tens of thousands of dollars.

Hernandez is facing six charges related to marijuana and cocaine possession and manufacturing marijuana.

Police said Fernandez has a criminal history of drug growing offenses.
