Authorities have identified a man who claimed to have killed his girlfriend in a Fort Lauderdale area hotel Saturday, then called 911 to confess to the crime.
Broward Sheriff's Office detectives say Reginald Kindle, 52, called 911 around 6:20 a.m. Sunday saying he'd killed his girlfriend after the two had an argument at the Rashelle Hotel, located at 825 Northwest 27th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale.
The two had been staying in a room at the hotel for about a month, according to BSO.
Kindle claimed he'd killed his girlfriend around 2 a.m. Saturday morning. He told officials that he attempted to kill himself as well, but instead ended up reporting his actions.
The victim was later identified as 62-year-old Sarah Elizabeth Robinson.
BSO homicide and crime scene detectives are continuing to investigate the crime.
